Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating 16-year-old Makayla Chang who may be on the Lower Mainland.

The young teenager was last seen on March 19. Police say Chang is very active on social media but hasn’t posted anything since Mar. 20

Investigators stated that they have received information that suggests Chang may have travelled to the Lower Mainland with a man in his early 50s who goes by the name of Steven Bacon.

Chang’s family and friends are worried for her well-being and have exhausted all avenues as to where she may be, police say.

Chang is described as Caucasian, 5’1”, 110 pounds with dyed red hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen in a grey hooded sweatshirt, multi-coloured leggings with stars and planets.

Bacon is described as 5’10”, 210 pounds and has white hair.

Anyone with information on Chang’s whereabouts is asked to contact Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
