One person is dead, and another is under arrest following an early morning shooting in south Nanaimo.
The incident occurred at the Howard Johnson Hotel and appears to have taken place in the lobby of the hotel.
CHEK News is reporting they can see tape on the floor in the outline of a body.
“The Nanaimo RCMP is continuing with the investigation, and more details will be released when available,” RCMP Const. Gary O’Brien said in a media release.
An adult male was taken into custody without incident.
