The V2V Empress will set sail for her first trip between Vancouver and Victoria this Saturday, after receiving approvals from Transport Canada.
The company operating the ferry, V2V Vacations, also decided to delay the original May 1 launch, citing crew training as the reason for the delay – but now they’re ready to go.
The inaugural sailing will depart Vancouver harbour at 8 a.m. and arrive in Victoria at 11:30 a.m.
The return voyage will depart at 2 p.m. for Vancouver, arriving at 5:30 p.m.
The V2V terminals are located at the Steamship Terminal in Victoria (470 Belleville Street) and the Vancouver Convention Centre (1055 Canada Place).
