Most years, for a taste of Rifflandia, you’d have to wait until September. But this summer, thanks to Phillips Brewing & Malting Co., you can kick your personal festival off early with a Rifflandbrau.
This year’s seasonal incarnation is available at select locations including Sugar Nightclub and Cook St Liquor.
The new lager’s release celebrates Rifflandia’s tenth year in Victoria with 10,000 cans.
“Aromas of sweet grains, noble hops, and continental lager esters make this brew, much like Rifflandia 10 from Sept. 14th – 17th, the perfect beer to pair with friends, music and good eats on those pleasant warm nights,” Phillips Brewery wrote in their tasting notes. “There is an enjoyable light grainy sweetness that leads to some herbal and floral hop notes with just a hint of bitterness before rounding out to a crisp dry finish. 6 weeks of lagering helped to create the clean finish that compliments this beer’s bright effervescence.”
