You can watch America’s July 4th fireworks without leaving Canada

Share

Want to get a glimpse of the United States’ Independence Day celebrations but don’t want to venture south of the border? We’ve got you covered.

Grab a set of binoculars and head down to Dallas Road in Victoria.

Our neighbours in Port Angeles have planned a spectacular fireworks show at 10:15 pm tonight and the display should be visible (weather depending) from Vancouver Island.

According to Environment Canada, the skies should be clear and their should be no issues looking across the Juan de Fuca Straight.

So, if our Canada Day celebrations on Saturday left you wanting more fireworks in your life, tonight’s your chance.

The best vantage point to watch the Port Angeles fireworks will likely be Clover Point and all along Dallas Road. You might even be able to spot them from Colwood and Metchosin.

We suggest getting there early. That way, even if the visibility changes, you’re still in for a sublime sunset and a lovely evening by the beach.

Happy Independence Day to any and all American Victoria Buzz readers!
