You’ll never guess who’s banned from the Phillips Backyard Weekender

Share

Thousands are expected to flock to the Phillips Backyard Weekender from July 7-9, but one person, in particular, has been banned in advance: Donald Trump.

His name is listed in the info section of the Weekender’s website, under the heading RESTRICTED.

Other items in the section include alcohol, drugs, and weapons of any kind.

That bold font wasn’t the work of Victoria Buzz either. That’s actually what it looks like on the website. It appears the Weekender organizers want to make their Trump ban absolutely clear.

However, the President of the United States is currently at the G20 Meeting in Hamburg, so an attempt to attend the festival isn’t looking likely.

But by banning the President from their backyard, the Weekender at least gives Donald Trump a small taste of his own medicine.

All joking aside, the rest of the list is serious. Make sure to abide by the rules.

Apart from the “Restricted” section, the Weekender also lists several items as “Not Allowed”. Although bringing these items will not result in immediate ejection, they may be confiscated and further action could be taken:

  • Outside food (reasonably priced food vendors will be available onsite)
  • Animals, with the exception of certified assistance dogs
  • Hard coolers, large bags, large backpacks and large picnic baskets
  • Selfie sticks
  • Racially or socially offensive clothing
  • Lawn chairs
  • Beach umbrellas
  • Tents
  • Musical Instruments
  • Beach towels & blankets
