Police release photo of suspects from robbery of downtown jewelry store

Victoria police have released a photo of two men in connection with an armed robbery of a downtown jewelry store in the 600-block of Fort Street on Wednesday.

Police said two men entered the store shortly before 4:35 p.m., produced weapons and took merchandise before fleeing the area on a black “sport model” motorcycle.

The men decribed as white males, were wearing masks, dark clothing and dark “construction style” safety vests with high-visibility green stripes on them.

One of the suspets was wearing a white motorcycle helmet.

Officers flooded the area and searched for suspects as well as the motorcycle, but so far have made no arrests.

The men were last seen travelling southbound on Quadra Street near Courtney Street.

Nobody was injured in the hiest but the Greater Victoria Victims Services personnel were called in to assist the victims.
