Vancouver Island brothers win $2.5 million on scratch-and-win ticket

Share

What a win for two brothers on Vancouver Island.

Not only did they hit a $2.5 million jackpot, but they’ve also now got the record for the biggest scratch-and-win prize in provincial history.

Daniel Boylan, of Mill Bay, and Kenneth Boylan of Cobble Hill, won playing the $250 Million Golden Treasures.

They purchased the ticket at the South Duncan Bench Road Co-op in Duncan.

“We haven’t stopped smiling since we won,” laughed Kenneth. “It’s been nothing but brotherly hugs and kisses. It’s like we’re dreaming!”

“We live in the most beautiful towns,” beamed Daniel.  “We’re going to buy some property here and develop them.”

The brothers, who are both in their late 20s, plan to pay off some bills, buy their parents a new home on the water, and continue that dream by staying close to home.

The brothers were on CFAX today and said they stopped the car and exchanged high-fives when they found out they were big time winners.
