In a week’s time, Laketown Ranch Music & Recreational Park will be filled with people, music, and a whole lot of smoke.
But unlike the first few weeks of August, the haze won’t be the result of wildfires. Instead, the source will be more homegrown.
What used to be the Legends Valley Music Festival has abruptly changed its name to the High Times Cannabis Cup Canada.
The change comes after the sale of the event last Friday, August 11.
The validity of previously bought tickets doesn’t appear to be affected. However, the Legends Valley Music Festival website now redirects to CannabisCup.com and the Eventbrite ticket site address has also changed.
New Artist Announced
Along with the name change comes a new, big-name announcement. Wyclef Jean will be performing on Sunday, August 27!
The Haitian rapper is a three-time Emmy winner known for hits such as Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill), 911 ft. Mary J. Blige, his time with The Fugees, and his contribution on the mega-hit Hips Don’t Lie, by Shakira.
Wyclef replaces Body Count, who had to pull out after an injury to their bassist.
