Victoria Police release first two episodes of web series “Fighting Fentanyl” (VIDEO)

The first and second episodes “Fighting Fentanyl” from the Victoria Police web video series are now live!

First Episode: Focus on a Killer

This brief first episode introduces viewers to the two hosts, S/Sgt. Conor King and Cst. Matt Rutherford and also provides a brief glimpse into VicPD’s fight against fentanyl to date.

Second Episode: Intelligence-Led Approach

The second episode takes us behind the scenes into an intelligence briefing.

Through this seven-episode series released on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week, fentanyl expert S/Sgt. King and Cst. Rutherford guide viewers through VicPD’s Strike Force and Crime Reduction Unit, the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team (GVERT), the Analysis and Intelligence Unit, Patrol, K9 and other resources track a known fentanyl dealer through the Quadra Village neighbourhood.

The series will take viewers along on surveillance, though GVERT operations, into VicPD’s drug-processing unit, and intelligence briefings.

The series runs from August 29^th to September 19^th.
