The Victoria Royals have done some roster tweaking in preparation for the upcoming 2017-2018 season.
They’ve acquired 19 year old defenceman Anthony Bishop in exchange for right winger Blake Bargar.
The Kelowna, B.C. native played in 66 games last year for the Thunderbirds, amassing 2 goals and 7 points along the way.
He suited up for 11 playoff games last season as the Thunderbirds claimed the Ed Chynoweth Cup as WHL champions.
Bargar competed in 61 games in his lone season as a Royal. He registered 10 points along with 52 penalty minutes, while being held scoreless in 5 playoff games.
Victoria’s first home game this season is September 22nd against the Vancouver Giants!
