10 fast facts about the 2017 Rifflandia Festival

Rifflandia is the most epic, all encompassing, city conquering party Atomique Productions throws for Victoria, BC each year. Navigating your way through the awesome madness can be tricky, but we’ve got you covered.

2 – Female Representation

With the announcement of the final wave, Rifflandia revealed that 2017 will bring the most female acts to play Riff ever!

Around 50% of this year’s bands have at least one female member, and in many cases, she’s the lead.

3 – There’s a Magic Wristband

Exchange your ticket for a wristband to get pretty crazy deals around town all weekend long. Like a mug of Habit coffee for $1, get a free sample bag of coffee beans from Caffè Fantastico, 20% off at Elate Cosmetics, to name a few.

Support local! Three-quarters of this year’s bands are from BC. 

5 – Dead Beats Block Party

Thursday, September 14th will bring  the Dead Beats Block Party ft. Zeds Dead, G Jones, Grandtheft, and Boogie T will takeover the Phillips Backyard. Curated by Zeds Dead, this will be one of the biggest parties Riff has ever seen.

6 – Electric Avenue 

Expands from 3 venues to 5 with the inclusion of The Duke and The Hop

Seriously. These venues pack out and pack out quick. We’re islanders and we dig the laid back, show up casually-late vibe here, but if there’s a show you’ve just gotta see, then you just gotta fight the island urge and get there early. Then, take photos of yourself at the show and post em for all your late friends, in a nice way though, because we’re still Canadians.
