31 cats and dogs rescued from the wildfires need homes (PHOTOS)

Share

The Victoria Humane Society (VHS) needs your help to find new homes for dozens of fluffy friends!

In a Monday morning Facebook post, the society described their “Crazy Busy Weekend”.

“Special Thanks to Kathryn for driving the animals from the interior to get them to safety,” the society wrote. “To Leanna for always stepping up, to amazing fosters Lise and David, the Johnson Family, Denise and Chris Schreyer ….and the list goes on….[sic]”

Over the 24 hours preceding the post, the society received a huge influx of animals. Thirty-one kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs came from the Interior in the wake of BC’s wildfires.

How To Help

After the animals undergo health and behaviour assessments, they’ll be posted for adoption. In the meantime, you can also look into adopting the animals the VHS already has available by clicking here.

Or, if you can’t adopt, you can also make a tax-deductible donation by clicking here.
