White Sails Brewery has nabbed the prize for best black IPA at the World Beer Awards which took place in London, England.
The Snake Island Cascadian Dark Ale will now contend for best overall dark beer.
The top eight “World’s Best” beers will be announced on September 21.
White Sails opened up in downtown Nanaimo in 2015.
