51-year-old Victoria businessman pleads guilty to sexual interference with minors

On Thursday, October 26th, Michael David Mahy pled guilty to four counts of sexual interference with children aged 16 and younger.

He was sentenced to two years less a day in jail.

According to CHEK News, Mahy was charged with  two counts of sexual interference of a person under the age 14, two counts of sexual inference of a person under the age of 16 and one count of sexual exploitation.

He was also sentenced to three years of probation for sex crimes against minors, and his name and DNA sample will be in the national sex offender registry.

The incidents took place between 2003 and 2009, and the victims were all children of Mahy’s former family friends.

Prior to his sentencing, Mahy was a local accountant who posted Youtube videos about financial topics.
