Mark your calendars for the 19th Annual Victoria Gallery Walk next weekend

Get ready for a weekend of cultural immersion and artistic enlightenment!

This self-guided walking tour of downtown Victoria’s most coveted art galleries offers a wide range of options for every genre of art lover.

Take a look at the list of participating galleries and their proposed exhibitions:

Alcheringa Gallery is all set to present an exhibition titled “Vessels”:  an eclectic exhibition that looks at woven cedar bark, bentwood boxes, rosewood carving, ceramics and more.

 

Madrona Gallery presents the work of Meghan Hildebrand, in an exhibition entitled ‘lorafauna’: a tribute to the mysteries of the coasts and forests.

 

3. University of Victoria Legacy Art Galleries

University of Victoria Legacy Art Galleries will be showcasing an exhibit titled “There is Truth Here: Creativity and Resilience in Children’s Art from Indian Residential and Day Schools”: an exploration of the role of art and creativity in the shaping of the identity of children in Indian Residential and Day Schools.

 

West End Gallery will be featuring the works of Rod Charlesworth: a master of Canadian landscape portraits.
