Last week, the Irish Pubs Global Awards awarded the coveted title of ‘North America’s Irish Pub of the Year’ to our city’s very own Irish Times Pub.
Locals and regulars will hardly be surprised! Their live music, dancing, and overall ambience makes the Irish Times Pub a great place to experience Irish culture, or to just go out and have a great time.
Over 16,000 bars and pubs worldwide were nominated at the awards ceremony.
Best place on the continent to experience some Celtic cheer
In 2015, Ireland’s biggest newspaper – The Irish Times – named Victoria’s Irish Times Pub one of the best Irish bars outside Ireland.
“There’s lots of places you can get a beer and a burger, but it is about that Irish culture, that smile and that welcome,” owner Matt MacNeil told CHEK News.
No small feat for owner Matt MacNeil and his staff, who will be celebrating the win with a “Ceilidh” (a traditional Irish gathering).
