Today (November 15th) at around 4:30 PM, Saanich Police was called to the Colquitz Creek Trail.
Turns out, someone spotted a bear on the trail near Mann Ave and Glanford Ave earlier this afternoon.
Saanich PD conducted an extensive search of the area but couldn’t find any bears or cubs anywhere.
Still, residents in the area have been advised to be cautious, and secure small pets as well.
Earlier this year, several bears were spotted in Sooke and along West Saanich Rd.
