On Saturday, December 2nd at around 11:45 PM Saanich Police and ambulances made their way over to house party on Francisco Terrace, after getting reports of an assault.
An 18-year-old Saanich resident had been stabbed, and was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries – he will make a full recovery.
The alleged perpetrator, 27-year-old Cory Nguyen, was taken into custody with the help of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was also found carrying substances which officers believe could be controlled drugs.
Nguyen is currently facing charges of Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Assault with a Weapon.
He could also face drug charges if the substances he was carrying are examined in a lab and found to be controlled drugs.
