Alas! The promise of the seasons has finally been fulfilled, and copious amounts of powdery, white snow has made its way to Vancouver Island.
More specifically, to the top of Mount Washington.
After reporting last week they would be opening the lifts early for a “preview weekend”, many islanders have made the great migration to start their snow season early.
Based on the plethora of awesome social media shots from the mountaintops, it looks like a great day to hit the slopes.

With snow predicted for the remainder of the weekend, it will be a pleasant introduction to snow season.
Though it’s just been The Eagle Express lift open today, Mount Washington is scheduled to open the full mountain one week from now on Friday, December 8th.
So if you missed this weekend, there’s always next weekend, right?
