Police are investigating after a human foot was found on a Jordan River beach Thursday.
The discovery was made by a man walking his dogs along the beach at around 8 a.m., according to Sooke RCMP.
One of the dogs came across the foot which was still in a shoe with part of the leg attached.
He called Sooke RCMP who attended the scene along with the B.C. Coroner’s Service.
The body part was seized and the area searched.
The B.C. Coroner’s Service will now attempt to identify the deceased and determine the cause of death.
This is the 14th foot discovered along the B.C. coastline since 2007. It’s been determined 10 of them were linked to people who died by suicide or by accident.
