Police release more details and photos of Nanaimo bank robber

The Nanaimo RCMP is continuing with their investigation into the robbery of the Scotiabank located at 6750 North Island Highway.

The robbery took place at approximately 3:15 pm on Wednesday, November 29. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was produced and no employees were injured during the incident.

Pictures of the suspect from the Scotiabank robbery and of the suspect involved in an attempted robbery of a local Tim Horton’s robbery from earlier in the day are below.

Investigators believe it is the same person involved in both incidents.

The Tim Horton’s attempted robbery occurred just after midnight on Wednesday, November 29, 2017

Suspect Description:

  •  white male, stocky, 5 ft. 10
  •  handlebar moustache with a soul patch

Clothing Description:

  • grey toque
  • black hoodie with CarHartt written on the left sleeve in white lettering
  • black pants, grey skater shoes
  • dark sunglasses
