Share

Last month, on November 8th, a suspect in James Bay was linked with three incidents that were reported to Victoria Police.

Three separate incidents, one suspect

The first call came from a resident on Michigan Street who complained about a man who was banging on the window of his home.

While talking to the complainant, officers got a call about a man trying car doors in a parking lot on Simcoe and Menzies Street who matched the same description as the suspect referenced in the first call.

And while dealing with the call about the car doors, the same suspect was described on a call about an attempted purse theft.

He managed to get away

He was unsuccessful in stealing the purse, but was able to get away from the police including a VicPD K9 officer.

The suspect was described as an Aboriginal man who is between 5’10”-6′ tall, with dark brown hair and was clean shaven. At the time he was wearing a dark grey windbreaker with a light grey hood and light grey pants.

Police have just released the sketch of the suspect, and ask that if you have information about the incident or recognize the suspect, please call the non-emergency line at (250) 995-7654. To report what you know anonymously, call Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
