What: One-part living art exhibition, one-part theatre performance, open face beholding is an exploration of the relationship between art, ritual, and belief through the lens of Catholic iconography. Creator Delaney Tesch seeks out the liminal space between sacred and profane – a space which inspires both faith and creativity – and brings it to life in this immersive new performance piece.

What: Art Battle® is live competitive painting. Painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non-mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favourite painting and can bid in a silent auction to take the work home.

What: To celebrate Canada 150, Saanich is making a time capsule that will stay sealed until Canada’s 200th anniversary in 2067. A special postcard has been designed for the public to contribute their comments for the opening at Canada’s 200th birthday in 2067. Visitors to the show are welcome to take selfies and post comments on social media. Please invite friends and family to view the show and to take part in the upcoming Time Capsule introduction.
