5 things to do in and around Victoria today, Wednesday January 31st

We made it through the first month of the year, Victoria!

Here are 5 things to do today!

1. Bike Maintenance 101 – Basic Maintenance

What: This is a knowledge-based clinic, and they will provide you with all of the materials you might need. Come with your questions and a sense of adventure. Bringing your own bike is not necessary; there will be one available for demonstrations.

2. Movie Night at the Market: Spider-Man Homecoming

What: Movie Night at the Market is FREE of charge! They just ask that you make a donation of any amount to the local charity of the month. Come early to have some dinner from the Market vendors, and get your spot! The regular Market chairs will be available, but you are encouraged to bring your own camping chair, fold up chair, etc….as there is a limited number of seats available!!
Where: Victoria Public Market at the Hudson

When: Movie starts at 7 pm
Cost: Admission is free!

3. Phillips Comedy Night

What: The funniest night of the week is this Wednesday at The Mint! Each week Morgan Cranny and Drew Farrance bring the most hilarious comedians in the city together for a wonderful evening of fun at the best venue for stand up comedy in Victoria.
Where: The Mint

When: Starts at 8 pm
Cost: $7 – $10

4. Cheers To Change

What: Please join the Uvic Golden Key’s third annual Spark a Change fundraiser to support at risk youth. All of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the non-profit organization The Island Sexual Health Society. $5 tickets will be sold at the door. There will also be door prizes, a silent auction and entertainment from the band Shepard who start at 8:30pm.

When: 8 pm – 11 pm
Cost: $5

5. Blue Moon Meditation

What: Join the circle on the evening of January 31st at 7 Rays from 6 to 8pm for a Blue/full-Moon meditation to harness the powerfull energy of this blue Moon and release anything you’re done with to make room for the new and to set your long term goals.
Where: 7 Rays

When: 6 pm – 8 pm
Cost: Tickets are $10/person and paid in cash at the shop.
