Victoria police are investigating after a body of a kayaker was found on the beach near Gonzales Park.
VicPD said they were called to the 1800-block of Crescent Road after receiving a report of a body in the beach area.
The Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue crews were called in to assist to ensure no one else is at risk in the waters nearby. A helicopter was also assisting.
The identity of the person has not been released.
