In the early morning hours Wednesday, Sidney North Saanich RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress in the 2300-block of Oakville Ave, in Sidney.

The caller advised that an unknown intruder had broken their way into the
residence, was still inside and refusing to leave.

According to Police, no drugs or alcohol were involved.

Arrested Without Incident

Upon arrival, mounties made contact with the suspect, who was arrested and removed from the residence without incident.

RCMP will be forwarding all circumstances of the incident to Crown Counsel for their assessment of criminal charge.

Corporal Chris Manseau said there was no altercation between the residents and the intruder.
