Trailer Park Boys actor brings new feature film to Victoria Film Festival tonight

Grab your popcorn and dim the lights, because we’ve found your next favourite film!

Directed by beloved Nova Scotian Trailer Park Boys star, Cory Bowles, Black Cops is a satire that tackles the issue of racial discrimination in the police force – something that is prevalent across North America.

The movie dives headlong into the conversation when an off-duty black police officer faces unfair and traumatic treatment from white cops.

He then resolves to treat white civilians with the same antagonism that is often faced by their black counterparts at the hands of authorities.

The events unfold in a nameless urban centre, which could be anywhere, forcing audiences to come to grips with an often unspoken reality.
