Ever since Horror Escape first opened its doors on Broughton Street in 2015, their escape rooms have been extremely popular among Victorians of all ages.
What is an escape room?
An escape room is a live adventure game in which teams of individuals attempt to solve puzzles within a limited time frame to move on to the next phase, until they solve the mystery (or fail).
Victoria’s own iteration of the activity involves a little more oomph, as Horror Escape adds spooky elements into their escape rooms.
The highlight is their immersive setting with detailed rooms, lighting, and soundtracks – and although there are no live actors, there’s also no shortage of thrills and excitement!
Their newest room, Madame Blavatsky’s House of Occult, is inspired by tales of hags and evil gypsy women. You can expect to see potions, a Ouija board and of course some devilish tarot cards.
