Victoria Police have released surveillance photos of a man who allegedly stalked and sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl just after 12 PM today, February 18th.
The incident occurred at the Bay Centre at 1150 Douglas Street, and officer are asking for the public’s help in identifying the perpetrator.
He is described as an approximately 40-year-old Caucasian or Aboriginal male, of average height and medium build, and has short facial hair. At the time, he was wearing glasses, a camouflage toque, a grey hat, a dark hoodie, a black winter jacket, and jeans.
According to police, the suspect followed two young girls into the Bay Centre and once they were alone, sexually assaulted one of them. He was then seen changing his appearance and fleeing the scene.
The victim of the assault is being offered support but did not require hospital treatment for any physical injuries.
