If you love going out to the movies but balk at high ticket prices, you’re in luck.
Turkish movie ticket-plan company Sinemia has just launched in Canada, giving it an edge over its competitor, MoviePass, which is only available in the US right now.
You can now get two movie tickets for as low as $9.99CAD per month, or three tickets for $17.99CAD a month. They’ve also got pocket-friendly options for two people, when you check the ‘Sinemia for two’ box.
Founded by Rifat Oguz, Sinemia currently operates in the United Kingdom, Turkey, Australia, and the US.
They boast a service that is redeemable at “any theatre, any day, any showtime, any movie”, however it looks like it is currently only available at SilverCity Cinemas in Victoria.
A Sinemia subscription covers various types of screen quality, including 2D, 3D, IMAX, 4DX, DBOX and ScreenX. They’ve also got a few fun perks for their members, like sending out invitations to premieres, galas, and special events.
“We are interested in building a movie ticket subscription service that will be around for the long haul,” stated Oguz in a release.
“We are steadily growing by more than 50 percent each month and are seeing more than 20 million monthly visitors to our site globally. I am confident this success has much to do with our dedication to not only financial savings for our members, but also our ability to give them a high-quality movie theatre experience.”
