One of Victoria’s most underrated live sporting events is ready to get their 2018 season rolling.
The Eves of Destruction Roller Derby has its season opener set for tonight, April 7th, from 5pm – 9pm at the Archie Browning Arena in Esquimalt.
Roller Derby combines elements of short track speed skating with football and rugby style blocking and checking, making it a chaotic and entertaining spectator sport. Blink, and you might miss a thrilling pass or a thunderous check.
To top it off, the league is non-profit and completely run by the players, making your support highly appreciated.
The league was founded in 2006, and has been growing steadily ever since, earning a full Womens Flat Track Derby Association membership this year.
