Barista Basics: Espresso

What: Barista Basics is a series focusing on demystifying commerical coffee skills. There’s a lot to know as a barista, and a little bit of technique goes a long way. Whether you’re a seasoned professional, a prosumer with a dynamite new machine, or you’re just getting started at your first coffee gig, 2%Jazz has some tips and tricks guarenteed to improve your confidence in your skills and the quality in your cup. Presented free of charge on the last Thursday of every month
This month we focus on commerical quality espresso. What is it, how to make it, how to adjust it, palette training and theory. If you’ve never been behind the bar at a commercial cafe, this is your chance! Participants will get the opportunity to pull shots on a commercial espresso machine (Custom La Marzocco GB/5), use a commerical grinder (Anfim Super Caimano or Eureka) and have the opportunity to purchase coffee at wholesale prices.

Thursday Night Comedy Pro-Am

What: Weekly standup comedy show for your pleasure, with a rotating lineup featuring some of the best acts in town.

EFM Outdoor Season

What: Find locally grown produce, live music, artisans, food trucks, locally made foods and a community hub, every Thursday!
There will generally be 50 Vendors including 4 food trucks, a knife sharpener, 4 liquor Vendors, 12 Farmers and a hole bunch of insanely talented artisan food producers and artists!
Bring reusable bags, dinnerware from home and a cloth napkin and cash of course!!

Thursday Morning Gardening

What: Come and join other volunteer gardeners to make St Ann’s a special place to visit. There are many gardening areas and types of task to do. Tea break with treats.
