Northbound traffic on the Pat Bay Highway near McKenzie Ave is shut down after a vehicle rollover at around 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
Northbound traffic is being re-routed down the McKenzie exit.
UPDATE: The estimated time of opening is 8 p.m.
Two vehicles were involved, though it’s not clear what led to the accident.
Saanich fire crews freed one person who was entrapped in the vehicle. There’s no word on injuries.
Saanich police tweeted at 3:55 p.m. that there is no current estimate on when traffic will re-open.
Drivers are asked to use an alternate route in the meantime.
