Police looking for suspect after robbery with firearm in Esquimalt

VicPD major crime unit detectives are seeking witnesses following a robbery with a firearm that occurred Saturday evening in Esquimalt.

Police said they were called to Saxe Point Park at around 8:30 p.m. where they discovered the victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The individual was transported to the hospital, treated, and released.

There have been no arrests. While concerning, investigators believe it was an isolated incident.

“Our investigation is continuing, and we will share additional information about this file as we are able to,” VicPD said in a release.
