Talk about a true hero!
On Monday morning, Sgt. Jereme Leslie was in the Saanich Police department’s parking lot with a colleague when they heard a slew of frenzied chirping and quacking noises.
A congregation of ducks had gathered by a storm drain, and “the momma duck seemed really stressed out,” said Leslie.
The officers went to check it out, and sure enough, three little baby ducks had fallen into the storm drain.
Luckily, Sgt. Leslie was there to save the day! He scooped up the ducklings and sent the family on their merry way to Swan Lake.
