Share

You probably already know about all the cool free stuff going on at Centennial Square this summer, but the fun doesn’t just stop at downtown.

The Cameron Bandshell at Beacon Hill Park will also be hosting a series of rad events for friends and family to check out—all free!

Here’s what’s in store:

Concerts in the Park Series

Whether you like jazz or blues, or classical or swing, there’s something for everyone at this summer’s Concerts in the Park series. Performances take place very Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:20 p.m., from June 29 to Sept. 3 (excluding July 1 and 2). Bring a blanket to lay out on the lawn, or just snag a seat on one of the benches!

Folk Music Evening Series

Folk Music Evening Series returns for its third year, and takes place on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. from July 3 to Aug. 21. Enjoy a wide variety of folk music genres, from traditional to fusion and contemporary, with two different Canadian bands featured each night!

Children’s Programming

Bring your kids on Wednesdays from July 11 to Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to noon for a special children’s show filled with stories, magic, puppets, and pirates. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

Argentine Tango in the Park

Wanna learn to tango? Come with or without a partner, and get ready to party at this free social dance on Sundays, July 8 to Aug. 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Alive Tango Victoria.

All events are rain or shine, and are subject to change. For full event listings, visit www.victoria.ca/concertsinthepark.
