UPDATE: The suspect has been arrested as of 11:45 AM on Friday, June 8th. She will be appearing before the courts via telebail.
EARLIER: A 47-year-old man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed in the abdomen by his partner.
The assault occurred at about 5:30 PM on Thursday, June 7th, in the 3200-block of Alder St in Saanich.
When police arrived at the scene, they learned that the man had been stabbed by his common-law partner, a 42-year-old woman.
The suspect had fled the scene before police arrived, and a warrant for her arrest is now being sought.
