Earlier: Saanich police are asking that people avoid Blanshard Street near Cloverdale Avenue as the Saanich Fire Department deals with a brush fire.
Traffic is “seriously impacted,” according to Saanich police. Traffic is being rerouted southbound from Blanshard at Saanich Road.
