In an age where people barely know their own neighbours, one Victoria community has come together to beautify their locality in the most creative way.
A group of neighbours on Collinson Street in Fairfield has received a grant from the City of Victoria’s ‘My Great Neighbourhood Grant Program‘ in order to paint a colorful street mural.
A design by local artist Jenn Playford will be painted onto the pavement between Cook St and Trutch St by neighbours, community members and passers-by from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 23rd.
This project is made possible with the help of Fairfield Gonzales Community Association, financial support from the City of Victoria, and the generosity of Pacific Paints.
