Food recall issued for Europe’s Best brand field berry mix

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has released a food recall warning for Europe’s Best brand field berry mix due to a possible Salmonella contamination.

The CFIA advises that the recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

Food that is contaminated may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems are at higher risk of serious infections.

Healthy people may experience some short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
