This year’s Great Canadian Beer Festival tickets are now on sale

Share

Hope you Victoria beer lovers are thirsty. Tickets for the 26th annual Great Canadian Beer Festival (GCBF) are now on sale!

The popular two-day event makes its return to Royal Athletic Park on Sept. 7 and 8, 2018, and this year promises just as many tasty brews as ever.

Over 60 breweries and two cideries will be pouring approximately 250 beers and ciders. New this year is the BC Ale Trail-er, featuring 10 B.C. breweries not often tasted in Victoria, and the Alberta Brewers Tent, featuring four Alberta brewers.

The GCBF is the longest-running beer festival in Canada, with the first iteration taking place at the Victoria Conference Centre and bringing in 2,000 attendees. Now, over 9,000 beer lovers come through the gates of Royal Athletic Park.

Aside from the sips, attendees can take in some live entertainment and grab some eats from a variety of food trucks.

Feel free to get in the spirit of things and dress up, as well; the GCBF draws an eclectic crowd with plenty of standout figures.

And if you’re interested in volunteering, the GCBF would love to have you. Volunteers get a festival T-shirt, free admission to the festival on the day they don’t volunteer, and free entry to an exclusive afterparty on Saturday night.

So get your ticket, grab your tasting glass, and enjoy the best that local brewers have to offer!
