The main beach at Thetis Lake Regional Park was shut down by West Shore RCMP, as of approximately 11 a.m. this morning
Online reports confirm that the closure is related to the search for missing 48-year-old woman Debra Evans-Hayes, and an underwater recovery team is on site.
Evans-Hayes went missing on Wednesday, June 27th, and searches have been conducted around Thetis Lake Regional Park since then.
The public will be alerted once the beach is reopened.
