It’s raining but who cares, we needed it! Make sure to get out this weekend and enjoy it at one of these amazing events happening around Greater Victoria.

Great Canadian Beer Fest 

Hop on over to Royal Athletic Park and drink to your heart’s content at the Great Canadian Beer Festival! This popular two-day event will feature over 60 breweries and two cideries pouring approximately 250 beers and ciders.

  • When: Friday, Sept. 7, 4–9 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 8, 12–5 p.m.

Esquimalt Ribfest 2018

All of Bullen Park will be dedicated to sensationalizing your taste buds, soothing your ear drums, and giving your kids something to yell about other than whose turn it is to use the iPad. Thanks to the community of Esquimalt and rib masters from around the country, we can all prep our bibs and start drooling about ribs.

Job Fair at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre

If you’re a team-player who is interested in joining a fun and dynamic team, bring your resume to the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre this weekend. We are hiring staff in several departments; Arena Operations, Arena Conversion Crew, Arena Guest Services, Royals Merchandise Store, Eventium Food Services (concessions, luxury suites & restaurant), MasterCare Janitorial Services, Paladin Security (security & event staff), Robbins Parking (lot attendants) & Skate Patrol. The job fair will be accessible from Gate 1 off of Blanshard Street.

  • When: Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm

Saturday Moss Street Market

Like every summer Saturday, the corner of Moss Street and Fairfield Road will once again come to life with scores of local farmers, artisans, bakers, and brewers setting up their tents. Along with these delicious scents, the air will be filled with the vibrant sounds of live music, laughter, and jovial conversation. The market is entirely family friendly as it includes tents for lunches, coffee, and even a special kids’ activity tent.

Rise for Climate Victoria! Location Change

Gather at noon on September 8th, in unison with an international day of climate action and demand BOLD action from our governments on climate change and the swift transitioning to 100% renewable energy. Given the recent court decision to HALT construction of the #TMX pipeline (indefinitely!), it is also a time to celebrate together and acknowledge what is possible when we come together for a cause in these uncertain times.

Metchosin Day

Going strong since 1967.  Sunday’s celebration of the District of Metchosin will start with a five-kilometre run/walk beginning at the community hall at 8 a.m.  There will be live entertainment, contests and demonstrations, a farmers’ market, and lots of delicious food with a lamb and salmon barbecue being offered.

Party at the Park  (Centennial Park)

“Join us for our 2nd Annual Party at the Park! Celebrate with us as we gather 4 services from 2 campuses together as one community at 10:30a on September 9 to worship. Lunch will be provided, plus fun for the kids!”

BC SPCA Paws for a Cause

The BC SPCA Paws for a Cause walk is coming to Victoria! Taking place at Dallas Road at Cook Street, this year’s walk will raise much needed funds to help animals in Victoria.

This year’s festival site will feature a beer garden, animal related vendors from Victoria, and food trucks for friends and family to enjoy.
