For 39 years, David Siegel and his brother Howie have owned and operated one of Victoria’s most popular eateries.
For regulars and new patrons alike, Pagliacci’s Restaurant has been synonymous with hearty Italian fare and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
But the establishment and its visitors are now mourning the loss of co-founder David Siegel who lost his battle against cancer on Thursday night.
Keeping his memory alive
“David was truly unique man,” reads a Facebook post from Pagliacci’s Restaurant. “He was generous, sharp witted, he was often an introvert but was also the life of the party. He was deeply loved by so many people.”
The restaurant is managed by Howie Siegel, and his son Solomon, who vow to keep the eatery running just the way David wanted it to.
A funeral for David Siegel will be held on Sunday, September 30th at 1 p.m. at the Jewish Cemetery (located on Cedar Hill Road at Ryan Street near Hillside Avenue) for those who would like to attend.
Earlier this year, Pagliacci’s closed for 3 months of interior and kitchen renovations.
Their re-opening was celebrated by hundreds of hungry Victorians who know and love the hearty meals they serve.
