RCMP are seeking witnesses following two separate crashes on Sooke Road Friday afternoon that left three people injured.

The incidents occurred around 2.pm on September 14 and involved three vehicles. The two crashes halted traffic in both directions for several hours.

All three cars, which were travelling eastbound, had single occupants, and all three were transported to hospital with injuries.

According to the Times Colonist, one driver was a 59-year-old man who only suffered minor injuries, while the other two drivers were a 68-year-old-woman and 75-year-old man, who both suffered broken bones.

Though the cause of the collision is currently unknown, investigators do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be factors in the crash, but a medical issue may have been a contributing factor.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the Sooke RCMP at 250-642-5241.
