The day has arrived, Victoria! Today marks day 1 of cannabis legalization in Canada. Here are 5 things to do around town today, including three events dedicated to this historic day.

Day One ~ A 420 Celebration Of Legalization

Join Trees – Island Grown as they celebrate a new era in Canadian history. Trees has lined up a special evening of live music, DJ’s, art, food & drink, and good vibes to pave the way for a new day.

Free Joints! Live Plants! Great Music! Be there!

Vancouver-based cannabis activist and dispensary owner Dana Larsen is coming to Victoria on October 17th to give away free joints and live plants in celebration of the next phase of cannabis legalization. You read that right – free cannabis for everyone!

Swift Current Broncos vs Victoria Royals

Victoria hosts the defending WHL Champion Swift Current Broncos. This season, every Royals’ Wednesday home game is Student Night presented. All high school and post-secondary students (aged 13+) who show ID when they visit the box-office to purchase a Student Night ticket qualify for discounts, contests and giveaways.

Creed Bratton (of The Office) Live – Victoria

If you’re a fan of the TV series The Office and you live in Victoria, then you’re in for a treat: Creed Bratton (otherwise known as “Creed” on The Office) will be at the Capital Ballroom Wednesday night!
