BC Cannabis Stores made over 21,000 sales in first week of operations

After exactly one week of cannabis legalization, the only licensed dispensary in the province (for now) has revealed how many transactions have taken place so far.

According to the BC Liquor Distribution Branch, the new BC Cannabis Stores website saw a total of 17,723 transactions, while the brick-and-mortar store in Kamloops made 4,014 sales within the first week of legalization.

However, over 10,000 of the total cannabis and cannabis accessories sales were made in the first 48 hours, starting at midnight on October 17th, leading to a shortage of various products.

As of the time of publication, there are no products listed under the ‘Capsules’ section of the website.
