Since 1998, local entrepreneur Gordy Dodd of Dodd’s Furniture and Mattress has been hosting free Thanksgiving dinners for homeless members of the Victoria community.

This year, for the first time, the company is hosting their charitable holiday dinner in all three cities where they have stores, Victoria, Nanaimo, and Campbell River.

Gordy Dodd himself, family, and staff members will be serving Victoria at Our Place Society on Saturday.

In 2016, the company hosted over 1500 people for dinner, and cooked up more than 500 pounds of vegetables and potatoes.
