Here are the 2018 municipal election results for North Saanich

Voting polls for the 2018 municipal elections closed at 8:00 p.m. today, and now, the results are in for Vancouver Island’s North Saanich.

Councillors for North Saanich ran unopposed, and the six councillors have already been acclaimed.

Out of the two competitors running for Mayor, Geoff Orr won over Dorothy Hartshorne by a measure of 2,592 votes to 1,415. The 11,000+ residents of North Saanich will be represented by:

  • Heather Gartshore (Incumbent)
  • Jack McClintock (Incumbent)
  • Brett Smyth
  • Celia Stock (Incumbent)
  • Murray Wiesenberger (Incumbent)

The North Saanich community is located North of Victoria, and just south of Sidney.

According to the 2016 Canada census, the largest age bracket residing in the municipality is the 15-64-year-old group comprising 57.5% of the population.
